Notes for India and China

1.21 billion people in India

1.35 billion people in China

Two out of every five people in the world - and are equal in size to the world population in 1950

China and India are both bigger in population then the whole western hemisphere

China's life expectancy is 73

India's life expectancy is 64

Chinese and Indians still live in rural areas - 55% and 70% and China will most likely become Urban by 2015

Migration does not effect these counties that much because the countries are huge as it is. China is getting a lot of immigrants from North Korea, and India is getting many immigrants from Bangladesh

Total Fertility Rate or both countries used to be six children per woman but it has calmed down and now China is only supposed to have one child and India has a TFR of 2.8
